Now All U13 through U18 Boys Travel players will automatically become part of BSC's Academy Structure.

 

BSC Academy is an important aspect of training to produce well rounder and stronger players.  We spend a considerable amount of time introducing fundamentals, technical aspects, and 1v1 skills.  We then progress to more tactical training especially at the older age groups.  Here we focus on more team concepts and team play while moving to larger-sided training and games to provide opportunities for a more game-like atmosphere.  We always try to finish each practice with some sort of scrimmage and we also have a few unannounced 'Game Nights' where we will spend the whole practice scrimmaging.

Some coaches and players may decide to enter the January/February indoor session.

All teams will participate in the March/April 9v9 indoor league games as the teams prepare for the outdoor season, which begins in late April/early May.

Our goal is to improve the technical skills and tactical awareness of the players at the Academy. This is not achieved by just playing games. Careful consideration has been taken and specific training sessions have developed to focus on certain topics based the coaches' assessment of player abilities.. The long-term benefits of the Academy are that we develop complete soccer players.
