US Soccer New Recommendations on Player Safety

 

US Soccer is recommending, and Eastern New York is immediately requiring, new rules as it relates to heading.  Players in Under-11 programs and younger shall not engage in heading, either in practices or in games.

Information on the topic, prior to March 2016

The United States Soccer Federation has recommended a ban on heading for players age 10 and under.  For the 11-13 year old age group, it is recommended that heading be banned in practice.  As a club, PFC will follow this recommendation.  For the full story, please click here.
